Rude Insect is a small, independent gardening site focused on useful product comparisons and practical growing guidance. We started it because too many gardening pages repeat retailer copy without explaining tradeoffs, limitations, or fit.

Most comparisons are research-based: we review manufacturer documentation, current product listings, warranties, dimensions, materials, and cited extension guidance. A page is described as evidence-based only when it includes a specific setup and evidence; otherwise, we do not imply practical use.
