About Rude Insect

John Shoufler owns Rude Insect. The site compares garden products and explains the fit: raised beds, compost gear, watering equipment, and other tools for a home garden or homestead.

A comparison names the product, the job it is meant to do, and the cases where a different size or a different tool is the better buy. Specifications come from the maker's current sheet. Match the model in the cart to that sheet before you order.
